A Sweet Evening at The Local Scoop 🍦
When it comes to festive treats, Dawlish has officially outdone itself this year.
On the coldest night of the season so far, The Local Scoop invited customers to a warm, flavour-packed festive tasting event that left us feeling merry and bright (and just a little full!).
Jack and Emma, the brilliant owners of The Local Scoop, rolled out the red carpet for their community, showcasing an incredible 18 new festive gelato flavours.
Despite the bitter chill in the air, the warm welcome and delicious offerings melted away the cold.
Chris and I couldn’t resist popping along to see what all the excitement was about—and we weren’t disappointed. Here’s the ‘scoop’ on what we discovered.
Imagine walking into a cosy parlour filled with the magic of Christmas and the irresistible aroma of freshly churned gelato. Jack and Emma’s team had crafted something truly special.
From the creamy decadence of Ferrero Rocher to the sweet spice of cinnamon, every spoonful was a festive delight.
While it was hard to pick favourites from such a dazzling array, Chris and I were eventually won over by Ferrero Rocher and Cinnamon. These aren’t just desserts—they’re experiences in a scoop!
A Treat Worth Sharing
The Local Scoop’s festive range doesn’t stop at tasting events. They’re offering stunning Gelato Yule Logs that are sure to take centre stage at your Christmas table.
These aren’t just visually gorgeous—they’re award-winning!
Their Biscoff Cheesecake Gelato Cake and White Chocolate Hazelnut Gelato Cake both earned top honours this year, with GOLD awards from Taste of the West and Food Drink Devon, respectively.
Knowing this, we couldn’t leave the event without placing an order for our own Yule Log. It’s officially the most anticipated dessert of our family Christmas!
